Get to Know Every Map

Hints

To perform well in multiplayer matches in Call of Duty, it's crucial to thoroughly understand the maps you'll be playing on. The same applies to Cold War. Take the time to learn each map, including common routes, camping spots, blind corners, and vantage points.

By familiarizing yourself with these areas, you can anticipate enemy movements and improve your score. Pre-aiming known routes and checking popular corners will give you an advantage. As maps become more familiar to players, certain locations may become less effective, but understanding vantage points and hiding spots will still help you stay alive longer compared to aimlessly running around. Focus on those popular spots, be ready to shoot, and you'll secure easy kills while extending your own survival.

Black Ops 2 Reference

Easter Eggs

As you play through the game, you will notice a few references to a character from black ops 2. At the bridge side of the cartel map, you will find a small house with a portrait of Raul Menedez, the main antagonist of Black Ops 2. Also in the room is a dead body on the bed. This body belongs to Hosey Menedez, Raul's father.

Unlock Everything

Glitches

First, I'll show you the glitch to instantly get any blueprint in the game. Join a friend in a multiplayer lobby, equip Law Breaker, and select a blueprint variant from the battle pass or store. Choose a camo, preferably the first one. Then, go to the social menu and have your friends go into zombies. In Zombies, select the same camo again, back out, and you'll see "unbound." Now, you can select any base gun and get a variant you don't own. Remember to save it as a custom mod. Some guns may not have a variant, but most will.

Now, let's move on to the bot lobby glitch. Start a custom game and end it. You'll need another player for this. Press "Versus Bots," go to settings, and have your friend invite you multiple times. On the third invite, join them. Then, have your friend go into a private match of the outbreak game, wait for a few seconds, and join back. Change the map to global or any outbreak map, select Team Deathmatch, and start the match. Accept the lobby error, leave the party, and you're good to go. Everything, including camos, attachments, levels, and more, will be saved.

Follow this video to learn how to do this.

Upgrade Your Weapons

Hints

As you play Cold War, your weapons will level up and gain cool skins and attachments. While skins are great for showing off, the real value lies in the attachments. Each attachment improves your guns in specific ways, allowing you to customize your gear to fit your playstyle.

Pay attention to how quickly you transition from sprinting to aiming. Certain attachments will become more important to you as you adapt to your playstyle. Some attachments require effort to unlock, so plan ahead and choose where to invest your time wisely. Don't waste time leveling up a gun that doesn't suit your playstyle just for the sake of adding attachments later. Instead, focus on enhancing the attachments that already work well for you. If you like an attachment on one gun, chances are it will work well on others too.

Always Watch your Back

Hints

To stay vigilant, make strategic use of tools like proximity mines, spy planes, and field mics to monitor your surroundings, especially when holding a stationary position like a window. When advancing towards objectives or enemy positions, take a moment to pause and scan the route you just came from. In the chaotic world of CoD, opportunistic players lurk everywhere.

You'll be pleasantly surprised by how often you catch someone attempting a flank maneuver. While keeping an eye on the minimap is helpful, remember that it's not foolproof since suppressors and the Ghost Perk can conceal enemy presence. On the flip side, if you spot a lone enemy charging down a lane, seize the opportunity to give chase and take them out.

Listen Carefully to your Surroundings

Hints

Pay attention to sound cues in the game as they provide valuable information. Footsteps can reveal enemy movement, and even suppressed shots can be heard. Equipment like field mics and RC-XD can be detected by listening. Using good headphones helps you pick up on these audio cues.

Being aware of sound allows you to limit your opponent's ability to spot you and react to threats like explosive RC Cars. You can anticipate enemy numbers and detect flankers approaching your position. Knowing friends from foes prevents you from being caught off guard. By paying attention to audio clues, you can increase your kills and gain an advantage over others. It's a simple trick that sets you apart from the rest.
